Construct Group were appointed to deliver a contemporary rear home extension designed to maximise natural light, improve flow, and create a seamless connection between the house and garden. The brief centred around opening up the rear of the property while ensuring the new space felt integrated with the existing home, both internally and externally.

The homeowners wanted to reimagine an underused rear area and transform it into a bright, modern living space that could be enjoyed throughout the year. The brief focused on maximising natural light, improving the connection between the house and garden, and creating a contemporary extension that sat comfortably alongside the existing property. Large areas of glazing, clean architectural lines, and high-quality finishes were essential, with the overall design needing to feel open, practical, and seamlessly integrated with the original home.
How Construct Group Transformed The Space
Construct Group delivered a light-filled extension that dramatically improved both the flow and feel of the home. Full-height aluminium glazing and sliding doors now open the space directly onto the garden, while a central roof lantern introduces additional daylight and a greater sense of height.
